Ron has a lot to live up to when he comes to Hogwarts as the 6th son in the family to attend. Ron has always
been overshadowed by his brothers, and he worries that he won't be able to distinguish himself. He is often embarrassed about
his hand-me-down clothes and the fact that his family is poor. But no one cares about that (except Draco Malfoy), least of all Harry. Though Ron knows next to nothing about Muggle life, he knows a lot about life in the wizarding world and often
has to explain things to Harry that wizards having grown up in this world take for granted. Ron clashes with Hermione right from the start. But as he gets older, he and Hermione get closer, and there is speculation about whether
or not they will become more than friends in the future. In his 4th year at Hogwarts, Ron attends the Yule Ball with Padma Patil but spends all his time watching Hermione. In his 5th year, he is made a Prefect and he is also a member of
the D.A.
