Harry Potter was a perfectly ordinary kid, living a perfectly
miserable life with his aunt, uncle, and cousin. When Harry
was a year old, Lord Voldemort murdered his parents and tried and failed to kill him as well. Harry was left only with
his lightening bolt-shaped scar on his forehead. Dumbledore arranged for Harry to go and live with his mother's sister and her
family. As long as he is in their care, he is protected by his mother's blood. Harry comes to Hogwarts feeling nervous and
worried that he will never fit in. He soon meets Ron and Hermione and the three become best friends. Harry also meets Draco Malfoy who becomes his mortal enemy. Harry is sorted into Gryffindor House
just like Ron and Hermione, and just like his parents. In the 7 years since Harry learned that he was a wizard, he has
had to endure more than anyone could imagine. He has battled and escaped from Voldemort 6 times so far, he has had to relive
his parents' death and he has watched his friends and family be tortured or killed. At the end of the 5th year, reeling with
anger and grief over Sirius's death, Harry learns that he is the only one with the power to vanquish Lord Voldemort.
